Odysseus不能相信Circe的誓言，一直等到Circe把 Odysseus的同伴們都變回人形。

這刻，他的同伴們變回來了，而且年輕更英俊更魁梧，一看到Odysseus，就抱著他大哭，連女神Circe看了都起了惻隱之心。Circe要Odysseus回去他們的船那邊，邀請那些值得信賴的夥伴們(ἐρίηρας ἑταίρους, Odyssey 10. 405, 408)一起來她的宮殿相聚。

   第408-415行，用一種典型的荷馬式比喻，說明Odysseus的同伴見他回來，欣喜若狂，這個比喻是小牛們看見母牛回來，雀躍，手舞足蹈，低頭繞著母牛，眼睛凝視母牛，但眼淚又狂奔，這比喻還帶回到Ithaca，彷彿歷經千辛萬苦，大家終於回到故土的心情。

  眾人急著要知道，那些滯留Circe宮中的同伴處境，Odysseus要大家把船停好，一起前往Circe住處，和其他人相聚，而且那裏可以享受無盡的食物與酒。

   大家都服從Odysseus，只有一位可以說是Odysseus的姻親Eurylochus，提出質疑，因為之前他親眼目睹Circe的魔法，勸大家不要跟去。他不相信Odysseus，第435-437行，責備 Odysseus的魯莽，還翻舊帳，因為當初在獨眼巨人島上，就是因為Odysseus的自大，害大家陷入現在的慘境。

   Odysseus不相信Circe，而他的同伴當中，也有不少人懷疑他。信任，是很微弱的。

SUMMARY

Side A: The witch Kirke turns Odysseus' men into beasts. They are shown partially transformed, with heads, forelegs and tails of animals: two are boars, one is a ram, another a dog and a lion. The witch herself stands stirring her potion with a wand with a dog at her feet. Eurylokhos, on the far right, flees to report the happening to Odysseus. In an overlapping story scene, Odysseus then approaches Kirke with sword drawn from the left.
